Tutor Doctor continuing to give lessons on success

2022 saw the international education industry continuing to dedicate its time, resources and expertise to supporting students as they catch-up from a difficult period in their academic journeys. But, with mainstream education provision also still facing difficulties, it is supplementary, bespoke education franchises that are paving the way for a brighter future. The global in-home and online tutoring franchise, Tutor Doctor, is no exception, as the brand is entering the new year having celebrated huge successes across its growing network of over 350 franchisees.

At the beginning of December, 2022, Tutor Doctor’s international franchise network came together in Orlando, Florida from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, South Africa and Latin America to reflect on the last 12-months, share ideas and look ahead to the future. The first in-person conference since the pandemic, the theme of ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’ has never rung more true for Tutor Doctor’s team of dedicated, passionate franchisees. All of whom are solely committed to raising the standards of education for students around the world. Keynote speakers included Director of Strategic Alliances, Michelle Campbell, CFE, and published author and entrepreneur, Omar Soliman, among others. Also taking to the stage to offer his expert insight was Tutor Doctor UK’s very own Adie Twining. Adie, as well as being awarded this year’s New Franchisee of the Year Award, discussed the unwavering efforts he and his team have dedicated towards supporting his community through the Ukrainian refugee project.

Global President of Tutor Doctor, Frank Milner, believes this opportunity for celebration was the ideal way to see out the end of 2022 and take the international community of franchisees and education specialists into an exciting new period for the brand. 

“It was fantastic to finally come together as a network after such a long wait!” said Frank. “As an international franchise, we have a diversity of driven, passionate entrepreneurs who’ve been waiting for this opportunity, not only to be recognised for their hard work, but to share thoughts and ideas among like-minded individuals within the network. A black-tie awards evening capped off the conference, with the UK franchise network dominating categories as both winners and finalists. Although some franchisees didn’t bring an award home, every award category saw nominations from UK franchisees, who have been credited for an exceptional 2022. This included Rob and Lynne Kerrison of Tutor Doctor Cambridge and Norwich, who were the third highest performing franchise financially across the entire international network this year. Award winners, meanwhile, were:

• Franchisee of the Year Award: Piyush Gupta, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Stamford
• New Franchisee of the Year: Adie Twining, Southampton
• Hall of Fame Award: Mark and Jo Butler, Reading, Wokingham, Maidenhead

To cap off an incredibly successful year for Tutor Doctor, the franchise has solidified its position as one of the most exciting and innovative franchise opportunities. Placing 16^th on the Elite Franchise Top 100 league table and number one for education franchises, the brand enters the new year with a reaffirmed mission.
