Swapping Fund Accountancy for Busylizzy Club Ownership

New career path for club owner June Wong as she prepares to launch Busylizzy in Earlsfield this Summer

Spring has well and truly sprung in Busylizzy-land! After announcing the creation of a new Hertford club recently, we’re super excited to let you know that we also have another new club on the cards in Earlsfield, London.

Former Busylizzy member June Wong has swapped her VC fund accountancy role to join the Busylizzy family after enjoying her membership experience of the Clapham & Battersea club when she joined in pregnancy two years ago.

June is keen to bring the membership experience of pre- and postnatal fitness and baby classes to other local mums living in and around Earlsfield this summer – as well as allowing her to spend more time with her little boy.

Impressed by Busylizzy’s quick response to national Lockdown in March 2020 with the development of our new online service and interactive user experience, she identified the Busylizzy brand and the Earlsfield territory as a potential new business opportunity that would enable her to find a better work / life balance.

“I knew that even a part-time return to my previous career in fund accountancy would mean at least three full days away from my son. I had been impressed with the quality and range of the Busylizzy offering, not to mention the online service developed in response to Covid-19, so I was really keen to create a new local hub for mums in the Earlsfield and Wandsworth area that I live in,” explained June.

“At the fund I worked at previously I witnessed so much inspiring entrepreneurship, so I am really excited for this new stage of my career creating my own business. I see the Busylizzy offering as a great connector for mums and mums to be finding their way into motherhood and meeting like-minded friends. I am really looking forward to working with my local venue and instructor team to bring a great timetable and support network to my area.”
